I was born and grew up in the small town in Russia. I have been interested in painting and drawing since childhood. This led me to study at the Moscow Academic Art College, which I completed in 2003 with a qualification in art education. Since 2005, my family and I have been living in Germany.
After a long period of parental leave, I work as a freelance artist and sell my works online. I regularly participate in regional art markets and show my work process on social media. I love to paint food and try to convey its maximum beauty and authenticity. Food carries deep symbolism in art, depending on the cultural and historical context. It is connected to many of our attachments and memories.
In my work, I would like to capture them and convey them with maximum emotion. Moreover, many of the objects I depict appear to me to be the epitome of perfection in their shapes and colors. A newspaper background gives the paintings an interesting 3D effect. It also gives the newspaper a second life, transforms an everyday object into a work of art, and is associated with something cozy.
