Martin Wojnowski

Martin’s artistic journey began with watercolour illustrations of
interiors. In the early 1990s, he worked with several London designers,
creating interior design presentations. Over time, he introduced
elements of the unexpected, subtle details hidden within bookshelves,
wardrobes, or forgotten corners. These additions transformed
otherwise straightforward, technical drawings into works of artistic
intrigue.

Martin’s style draws from multiple artistic influences, with urban
realism and magical realism playing a central role. His use of colour,
composition, line texture, and shape captures the raw essence of
modern life. Often depicting stark, desolate spaces that evoke a sense
of solitude and introspection, his work invites viewers to engage with
the emotional depth of the environments he portrays.
His paintings offer a fresh and evocative perspective on the urban
landscape and the human experience within it. Through his distinct
visual language, Martin creates a compelling narrative that resonates
with audiences, encouraging them to reflect on and question the
world around them.

Employing his expertise in visual storytelling, Martin crafts scenes that
are both familiar and enigmatic. Whether inspired by real events,
myths, fables, or pure imagination, his work weaves together images,
symbols, and colours to form a rich, interpretive experience. His art
reveals the beauty and mystery hidden in plain sight, capturing
fleeting moments and overlooked details that might otherwise go
unnoticed.
